I recently had the pleasure of leading a workshop on mindfulness at a hi tech company, where we explored the profound impact of present-moment awareness rooted in Buddhist practice. Mindfulness, which comes from the Pali word sati, encourages non-judgmental attention to our thoughts, feelings, and sensations as they arise. As a key element of the Noble Eightfold Path, specifically under Right Mindfulness (Samma Sati), it helps us see reality clearly – free from attachment or aversion.
This practice fosters insight into the impermanent, unsatisfactory, and non-self nature of existence (anicca, dukkha, anatta), enabling practitioners to cultivate wisdom and compassion while enhancing their capacity for inner peace. Ultimately, mindfulness supports the journey toward liberation from suffering.
Are you interested in joining or hosting this transformative practice? I would be thrilled to have you participate in my sessions or bring this experience to your company!
