Donation-basedMindfulness, in the context of Buddhist practice, is the cultivation of present-moment awareness, characterized by non-judgmental attention to one’s thoughts, feelings, and sensations as they arise. Rooted in the Pali word sati, mindfulness is a key element of the Noble Eightfold Path, specifically under Right Mindfulness (Samma Sati). It involves an awareness that sees reality clearly, unclouded by attachment or aversion, fostering insight into the impermanent, unsatisfactory, and non-self nature of existence (anicca, dukkha, anatta). Through mindfulness, practitioners develop wisdom, compassion, and a greater capacity for inner peace, ultimately supporting the path to liberation from suffering.
I regularly host a Meditation Circle. Are you interested in joining? Please reach out for the next date.
